Calculate the actual area
If area is not listed, multiply sheet width by length in inches, multiply by sheets in the package, and divide by 144. Keep all measurements in the same unit. Check whether the sheet count refers to half sheets or full sheets.
Keep dimensions consistent
As an example only, 100 sheets measuring 11 by 6 inches cover about 45.83 square feet. A $3 roll with that area costs about $6.55 per 100 square feet. The tool on this site calculates the same arithmetic from your own label.
Test your own tasks
For wiping small spills, perforation size may matter more than the lowest area price. Compare actual sheets used for the same task and stop the trial if the towel sheds or tears. We have not performed standardized absorption tests and do not rank brands by unmeasured strength.
Before you decide
- Use the total square feet shown on the exact pack.
- If calculating area, divide square inches by 144.
- Do not compare a half sheet with a full sheet by count alone.
